Like the description says, I contacted David in order to write a local business story for the newspaper I work for. Luckily, as a surfer I could indulge my own self-interests at the same time. I found a hard-working, passionate guy with a sound philosophy making strong, ridiculously beautiful boards.
In short, I asked him to make me the Kai Dao that you see above and I couldn't be happier with the finished product. Top-notch craftsmanship, super light and it looks and rides exactly how I expected – not to mention a rare characteristic rarely found with custom boards these days – a reasonable price.
I got to test it on some moderately heavy shore-dump last week and when so many boards were getting dinged and broken around me, the Kai Dao emerged without a scratch.
I highly recommend Elleciel boards!
