When I first saw lacewood it was just a small sample but I start visualizing what I could do with. Research on the web showed me that it is an australian wood from Queensland that was not endangered so I could work with. And now here is the GirafFish Ulua!
5'10" x 20"¼ x 2"⅜
3.100kg
This Lacewood 0.5mm veneer is extremely strong. Deck gets 200g (6oz) + wood + 120g (4oz) and bottom 120g + wood + 120g. Rails 3 x 200g + 120g!
Single concave from nose to tail where a quad fin setup is. Very light concave on deck as well for paddle comfort and volume. The prettiest board I've made, can't stop watching this amazing wood
patterns!
